The city of Shenzhen created the Shenzhen Design Award for Young Talents targeting young, talented designers from 41 member cities of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. For the first SZ-DAY award presentation ceremony held in 2013, 17 winners including designers, groups and three cities were recognized; a Grand Award, 9 Merit Awards and 4 New Star Awards (intended to honor only student designers). At the ceremony, the winners gave presentations. 3 groups from Nagoya applied for the Award. We will continue to participate in this biennial event through introducing from Nagoya our various projects and design activities involved in society.
