The city of Shenzhen creat the Shenzhen Design Award for Young Talents targeting young, talented designers from 41 member cities of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. For the first SZ-DAY award presentation ceremony wii hold in 2013, 17 winners including designers, groups and three cities were recognized; a Grand Award, 9 Merit Awards and 4 New Star Awards (intended to honor only student designers).
